Wanting to be just like her big sister, Kristin began taking gymnastics classes at a young age and eventually became a competitive gymnast. At the beginning of high school, though, Kristin quit competitive gymnastics. However, she used everything she had learned through the sport and applied that to two new sports, volleyball and track and field, and she ultimately received a scholarship to play volleyball in college.
